Campus doesn’t seem so big now
After arriving back home, I biked over to Green library to return the two DVDs I rented. On my way in, I ran into Amit and we chatted a bit. He’s prepping for an overseas trip and a visit in Cambridge for graduation. I returned Michael Clayton and There Will Be Blood and picked up No Country for Old Men (catching up on films I missed last quarter). On the way back, my friend Jonathan shouts out as I’m about to cross Campus Dr. and Escondido and I swing around to stop. We chat for a while and then Siddharth rode past on his back and circled around to join us. Siddharth and I were partners for RF Circuits lab last quarter and now he landed an internship at our prof’s company, ZeroG Wireless. We’re excited cause he gets to hear stories from Tom Lee all day. We stood there talking for a while when Kamal rolls up after waving goodbye to a friend. Another fellow EE 414 veteran! A bit later, someone says “Hey Saket?” and I turn around and wouldn’t you know it — it’s Nader’s dad! His company landed a nice contract with Cisco so he’s been traveling often to San Jose. I’d often join him and Nader for a late night coffee out on University Avenue. I catch up with him and then he takes off, then a few minutes later Nader approaches our little group wondering where his dad went. They meet up later and head off on an evening walk, while our group starts to disband.
What started as a quick trip to the library turned into two hours of catching up with quite a few friends. I love it.

I ran into Wes this morning but was unfortunately hurrying off to work so didn’t get a chance to chat. And I don’t think I’ve seen him but 1 other time since he came out here. Which reminds me, we should get the NCSU folks together more often!
