Apple Corporate Games 2008
Last Friday the 2008 Apple Corporate Games were held at the Infinite Loop campus. It’s an annual event where the employees have some fun, enjoy free food and beer, and engage in friendly competition. 32 teams from all the corporate divisions showed up, with the iPod group fielding three full teams - WePod, WePod Touch, and WePod Classic. See what we did there? Some teams decided to dress up in outfits and be crazier than others. We just tried to be really raucous. Apparently the iPod has the reputation of forcing the organizers to add more rules and and regulations for the next year…in response to something we do. Hehe.

They used to have real sports like basketball or volleyball, but it got so competitive that people started to get hurt. So instead of have fun events like you’ll see below.

It was a great day to be outside. I met up with Jonathan for a bit too and cheered on all the iPod teams.

It’s a tradition that the interns are designated to catch the balloons in the water catapult event, and sure enough I was out there and got wet.
Things continue to be quite busy at work, working long hours. Jason’s (the one with the unfortunate Duke t-shirt above) had his last day on Friday. He’ll be starting his last year at Duke this fall. Now it’s just Brian and I.

At least they didn’t make you catch eggs. That would have been way worse (probably what Microsoft does).
You promised me free earbuds before you leave. Don’t forget!
